Segiun naturalistic route, Lavagna
The area is characterized by the presence of the “Segiun” embankment, which extends for approximately 700 meters parallel to the river to protect the plain from flooding. Of medieval origin and supplemented in the Napoleonic era, it is characterized by “herringbone” overpasses connecting cultivated fields on opposite sides. The project involves raising the “Segiun” with stabilized earth, maintaining the existing planimetric position and the “irregular” shape of the structure that follows the pattern of the fields, grassing with hydroseeding of the lateral slopes, reconstruction of the overpasses for crossing made with small ramps in embankment for agricultural use, finishing with naturally split stone and slate covering for the top of the retaining wall, and overpassing the wall with small ramps covered in split stone.
