Waterfront of Voltri

The design solves the difficult task of providing a public promenade for the waterfront of Voltri city and maintaining the delicate eco-system of the existing natural seaside. The solution has been found in a wooden deck promenade anchored on top of concrete and steel poles, which reduces the impact of waves and appears as a light structure.

The promenade is pointed by public spaces, squares and rest areas. The huge sun shading pergolas that are repeated with different orientations along the way protect bathing establishments, bars, cafes, restaurants. This iconic project has already become a new landmark for the entire Region.
